I have been a licensed clinical social worker for over 20 years. I graduated from Loyola University’s School of Social work and have taken care of people in a number of ways since then. I worked in a community mental health clinic providing therapy for chronically mentally ill, as well as those dealing with grief, loss and the normal struggles of everyday life. In 17 years of private practice I connected with a number of clients who were struggling with relationship problems, self-esteem issues, family problems as well as depression and anxiety. I have also helped people cope, grieve and mourn with chronic illnesses like Fibromyalgia and cancer as well as equip them with tools and strategies to live a better life.

I use humor, metaphors and sometimes "homework" in sessions. I am warm and  empathetic making it easy to connect with clients. I love the human relationship and the human condition. Our pain and suffering is what makes us fully human but causes us deep pain.

On a Personal Note

I love the outdoors, I am an avid runner, bicyclist, hiker and will do whatever I can to be outside. I find joy and love in listening to music, playing guitar, mandolin and the ukulele. But my greatest love is connecting with other humans, my family, friends, colleagues and those I have the privilege of working with over the last 20 some years.

What past clients have said:

I was thinking of you this holiday season and how grateful I feel for the many sessions I had with you! I am happy to report that I am feeling good, back in the full swing of things, staying present, practicing mindfulness and just really enjoying time with my family and friends (and squeezing work in there too).”
